The Connell Police Department services the City of Connell with four patrol officers, two patrol sergeants, a records/evidence specialist, and the Chief of Police. Officers work 12-hour shifts.

Divisions
The Police Department is comprised of the patrol and administration divisions. 
 
  • Patrol Division is responsible for all field operations and community programs. Field Operations include patrol/investigations and animal control services.
  • Administration Division oversees the general operation of the Police Department and is responsible for organization policies, planning and research, program development, public relations, recruitment of officers, finance, and budgeting for the department. The Administration Section is also responsible for the maintenance of all department records, reports, and training.

 

Animal Control

The Connell Police Department performs animal control services for the City of Connell
according to the Connell Municipal Code.

Please renew by February 28, 2022 in order to avoid a late fee of $10.00. CMC 8.08.130(f)

Except as provided in CMC 8.08.180, it is unlawful for any person to own, possess, keep or harbor any dog over seven months of age within the city unless such dog is licensed and a license tag attached... CMC 8.08.130.

REMINDER: If the Police Department picks up any dog the impound fee is $100.00 and plus $10.00 per day boarding fee.

A complete copy of CMC 8.08 which includes fees, can be obtained at City Hall or found at the City of Connell website, www.cityofconnell.com.

 

License your Dog   

To fill out an application online click here:  Dog License Application  Once you complete the online form, you will need to use one of the options for payment and providing the proof of rabies vaccination and spay/neuter.

By Mail: Check or money order payable to City of Connell / PO Box 1200 Connell WA. 99326 - Please do not send cash. (Documents are not returned, please submit copies of required documents and retain the originals for your records).

Drop off: Use the drop box located at Connell City Hall, 104 E Adams St. Include check or money order, proof of rabies and spay/neuter upon drop off. If dropping off you may use cash. Please use exact change.

Via Debit/Credit card, you may call City Hall at (509) 234-2701. NOTE- A service charge may by GovPayNet applies to each transaction. The amount of this charge will be provided to the cardholder for acknowledgement and acceptance prior to completion of a transaction.
