North Franklin Heritage Museum
The North Franklin Heritage Museum is located at 350 W. Adams Street. This beautifully restored 1904 Gothic Revival Church has been the site of numerous churches of different denominations over the last century. The Museum includes the 1904 Church, the Hudlow Memorial Annex and Gardens, the Adams Homestead which is a fully restored local farmhouse circa 1910, a 1973 Burlington Northern Caboose and the Pepiot Ranch House.
The museum's mission is to invest, collect, preserve, and share the history and culture of Connell, Mesa, Eltopia, Basin City and Kahlotus. We have collected and displayed a wide variety of historic artifacts, pictures, tools, furniture, oral history DVD's, local history books, maps, pamphlets, obituaries, and school pictures. We have an extensive local newspaper collection covering 1905 to the present. Additions to our collections, memberships and participation are welcome. Memberships are $20 per person per year ($35 couple and $500 lifetime). Special events are held throughout the year. The church building can be rented for small gatherings and has a meeting area, kitchen, restroom, and is ADA-accessible.
