PUBLIC WORKS MAINTENANCE INTERN - TEMPORARY

Salary: $18.00 per hour (temporary, non-benefited)
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The City of Connell is accepting applications for a part-time seasonal Public Works Maintenance Intern position in the Public Works Department. This position performs primarily outdoor maintenance work activities such as:
• Street and alley maintenance
• Assist with grounds maintenance in city facilities and public areas
• Mow, trim, and control weeds
• Assist with building and facility repairs, including painting
• Perform various other related duties as assigned
WORK SCHEDULE:
June 9 through August 27, 2026
Tuesday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (30-minute lunch)
REQUIREMENTS:
• Must possess a valid WA State Driver’s License
• Must be at least 17 years old by June 1, 2026
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
• Successful completion of a background check
