City Hall Panels

Another project of the Downtown Development Group, these murals were inspired by photographs provided by Darrell Ferguson. This series of paintings that fill the panels on the City Hall Building are in a style called trompe l'oeil which means "fool the eye." They appear to be carved out of the wall. They were recently completed by mural artist Pat Boyer.

September 8
Working late into the night, Pat Boyer projects images onto the wall and begins painting.
These images are of two Connell School Buildings that no longer exist.

September 10
Adding more images, the design begins to take shape.
