Industrial
Opportunity—
Over the last few years, Connell has striven to position itself to provide
for expansion and diversification of it's industrial base. To achieve
that goal, the community has built a new wastewater treatment facility
and sewer distribution system. The City has purchased additional water
rights to provide for adequate water for development and is in the process
of replacing a number of old waterlines. The City is currently dealing
with the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) to purchase property
that is currently zoned industrial and is converting the abandoned sewer
plant site into a certified industrial site.
The City
has rebuilt all of it's industrial roads which serve it's major industrial
areas over the past few year. The City works closely with a number of
economic development organizations to provide assistance in relocating
and expansion of existing industries and is aggressively pursuing diversified
industrial development.
