Coyote Ridge
Corrections Center (CRCC) is a dynamic organization, keeping pace with
the ever changing face of corrections. The facility goals reflect CRCC’s
values, and support the vision and mission of the Department of Corrections.
CRCC Medium Security Complex (MSC) is a 2,048 bed facility that houses offenders with Medium and MI3 Custody. MSC consists of four Restricted Minimum Custody units and four Medium units. CRCC Minimum Security Unit (MSU) consists of two units. This is a work/program orientated facility that offers many educational, vocational, assisted living housing and self-help programs and Class II and III Correctional Industries work programs.
Currently there are more than 700 facility and contract staff members employed at CRCC.
The US Green Building Council (USGBC) has officially awarded CRCC's MSC LEED Gold. LEED certification is awarded to construction projects based on environmental friendliness (i.e. energy efficiency, water consumption and sustainability). Projects are awarded Silver, Gold, or Platinum based on the number of points they receive. CRCC's Gold certification is the first to be awarded to an entire prison campus instead of a single building. This is the largest LEED project ever completed by the State of Washington. CRCC is dedicated to maintaining a sustainable facility.
The Department is committed to our partnership with the City of Connell to encourage the long-term growth and economic vitality of the community. Through the construction and completion of MSC, more than $6 million worth of improvements towards the City of Connell's water and sewer systems have been made.
