LIERMAN PURCHASE OFFER
Mayor Walton inquired if any of the Councilmembers had any knowledge of anyone else interested in this property. Mayor Walton also inquired if anyone on the Council would receive any personal gain from this item and wished to excuse themselves from the bench.
There being no comments Mayor Walton proceeded with the discussion.
Mayor Walton suggested a clause be added to the contract stating that if the land had not been developed within two years the City would then be able to buy back the land at cost.
Council discussed the area of land that Mr. Lierman was requesting to purchase. The request was for two parcels of land, approximately 35 acres, at $1,100 per acre.
City Attorney advised if Council felt comfortable that the description was adequate then Council could direct staff to enter into a sell agreement pending the final legal description.

Motion carried with three for and
one against.
